YEAR 8 INDUCTION MORNING – SATURDAY, 7TH NOVEMBER 2020

Dear Parents/caregivers

Congratulations on the enrolment of your child at Wesley College for 2021. We look forward to getting to know you and your whanau next year and beyond. As part of the enrolment process we would like to invite you and your child to attend an induction morning on Saturday, 7 November 2020.

We would like you to meet some of the key staff at Wesley College, have a tour of the school and most importantly take part in some cognitive assessments that will allow us to better meet the needs of your children.

The CAT4 assessment consists of 3 tests which measure the cognitive abilities of students in 4 areas. (Verbal reason, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning). Secondly, an additional assessment called PASS, which takes 20 minutes and gives us an indication of their views about learning and school.

Both assessments will help teachers plan lessons more effectively and allow us to understand more about how each child learns best.

Please meet at the school chapel at 10am Saturday, 7 November. The programme will run until 1:30pm

Please indicate whether you will be attending by cutting and pasting the below address to your internet web browser, complete and submit.
