MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL FOLLOWING PM’S ANNOUNCEMENT TO MOVE TO ALERT LEVEL 3

Kia Ora Whanau

Good morning

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night Auckland, including Pukekohe, is on Covid 19 Alert Level 3 lockdown from 12 noon (today) Wednesday until 12 midnight Friday .  As per Level 3 protocols, only students of essential workers can be at school for the next three days, for boarders please contact Mr Chris Field, the Director of Boarding on (021) 1517720  and for day students please contact Mr Chris Bean, the Deputy Principal on (021) 2458887. Staff will be on site to supervise children of essential workers.

At this stage, boarders who can’t get home, or day students who have to be at school, will be placed in small group bubbles for Level 3 lockdown.

We will reinitiate the same distance learning systems we utilised in our previous Level 3 lockdown.

We have done this well in the past and we have every confidence in our ability to get it done for the students in our care.

Whilst there will be some emerging anxiety, our school and community is resilient and sensible, is prepared and is going to be fine.

I will update you regularly over the next 24 hours as information and guidance comes to hand.

God bless you all and be safe.

Kind regards
Dr Brian Evans
Principal
