As you know the Government have announced a move from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 3. There are some very clear guidelines about what this might look like, particularly in terms of returning to school for Year 9 and 10 students.
Please see the following Ministry of Education guidelines below.
1) The Govt is still wanting people to stay home. If you are not at work, school, exercising or getting essentials, then you must be at home, the same as at Level 4.
2) Work and learn from home if you can. The vast majority of people should continue working from home, and children and young people learning from home. At-risk students and staff should also stay at home, and they will be supported to do so. Early learning centres and schools will physically be open for up to Year 10 for only families that need them.
Given the guidelines, if you can please respond ASAP on the following:
3) Year 9 and 10 parents only – If you need your child to attend school – please email email@example.com by Wednesday 4 pm. Please state clearly if your child needs to return to the hostel, or as a day student.
4) If your child in Year 9 or 10 does not need to return to school online learning will continue, as it will for all Senior students, and teachers will available to continue this tuition.
We appreciate your support in this difficult time. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
In the meantime stay safe and blessed, we hope in the next few weeks we can get back to a more normal lifestyle.
