You may have heard via the media that the Ministry of Education has now said schools may open tomorrow and not wait until next Tuesday.
After much discussion we have decided it’s too short of notice to get everyone in and settled before the long weekend. Therefore, we will stay with the planned start-up programme for next week.
This means Wesley College remains closed this week.
Wesley College will reopen Tuesday, 7 February; the start-up programme as follows:
· Tuesday, 7 February: Year 9 day and boarding students return for the compulsory parent meeting at 5pm being held in the school Chapel.
· Wednesday 8 February: Year 10-13 day and boarding students return at 5pm for the compulsory parent meeting being held in te whare Angitu (Rec Centre).
· Thursday 9 February: Everyone is invited to the Service of Beginnings (the official opening of the school’s academic year) at 11am
Hostels will be open from 3 - 5pm on both return days to drop off student belongings before attending the meeting.
Everyone is welcome for dinner after the parent meetings on both nights.
We thank you all for your support during this challenging time.
