This week staff and students will be celebrating and sharing our Samoan language and culture in Chapel.
Thank you to those staff who have helped to kick off vaiaso o le gagana Samoa with a bright and colourful bang by wearing their puletasi, alo’a shirt and ie faitaga. Please continue to wear your Samoan attire throughout the week as there will be prizes awarded on Friday for:
- Best alo’a/men’s attire
- Best puletasi/women’s attire
On Wednesday we will be hosting two special guests from F’INE Pasifika Aotearoa Trust: https://finepasifika.org.nz/.
Thursday, will see a small number of students travel to Paerata School to participate in their vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa assembly.
We will close our week with a shared morning tea put on by our Samoan staff.
