This message outlines the process for senior students going on study leave this term.
The main focus is for our students to perform as well as possible in the up and coming exams as we strive for excellence. The exam timetable can be found here.

Study Leave Process:

  • Level 1 students will remain at school until the end of week 6. Their final day of school will Friday 22nd November and are welcome to be picked up from 12:30pm following their Life and Faith exam.

  • Year 12 and 13 have the option of leaving at the end of week 2 on Thursday 24th October. This is subject to the following conditions:
    • If they are a Level 3 University Entrance (UE) student, have completed Level 3 with a portfolio of 14 or more credits in 3 subjects and University Entrance literacy.
    • If they are a Level 3 student, not intending to achieve UE, have achieved a portfolio of 80 credits at their target level (A, M or E)
    • If they are a Level 2 student, have achieved a portfolio of 80 credits or greater and University Entrance Literacy.

  • If students wish to go on study leave, they must seek approval by their Learning coach who will manage this process using this sign off form. Once completed, deans will inform the hostel staff and parents that study leave has been granted and that the student may depart.

Please note, any students who have to travel a significant distance will be allowed to stay in the hostel until their final exam.

In addition, following week 2, teachers will be holding exam tutorials in their normal timetabled classes which any student is welcome to attend. Senior Prizegiving will be held on Friday 15th November commencing at 11am.
