Was great to have the event hosted at Navigation Homes Stadium this year great venue for some quality games of sevens rugby. This year we had three teams entered two boys’ teams and one girls’ team was a challenging day for our teams but great school spirit shown throughout the day.

Tournament Week
2024 Tournament week is always a great week to compete at major events, this year our Under 15’s team went to Tauranga for the National U15 Invitational tournament. A youthful mix of year 10’s and talented year 9’s, the team showed plenty of growth as the tournament went on and will benefit from the experience moving into 2025.
The 1st XV Development group participated in the Northern Region Cup held at Pukekohe Rugby Club with some great rugby being played. The team progressed through round robin with wins over Papakura High School 57-0, Te Awamutu College, Aorere College and Manurewa High School. Unfortunately, the team went down in an exciting final to a well drilled Liston College team but great experience for this group who majority will return in 2025. 1st XIII Rugby League
The Secondary Schools Rugby League Tournament was held at Bruce Pulman Park in Takanini our 1st XIII Boys team looking to go one better in 2024. As this was the biggest attendance of teams to compete at the tournament made the championship grade a challenging one to direct unfortunately with the nature of grading on day one saw the boys miss out on the top 8 with one win and one loss. The team rallied together to finish the tournament by winning the bowl final, congratulations to the team, coaches, and managers.
2024 was also a historic moment with our first ever Girl’s 1st XIII team competing at this tournament a baptism of fire they would say well done to our girls who will greatly learn from the experience finishing the tournament with one win against Tauranga Girls and three losses.
