Over the last two years an amazing 27 Wesley College students have benefited from scholarships to join voyages on board Spirit of New Zealand, a youth training ship run by the Spirit of Adventure Trust.
We recognise that fundraising can be challenging for our students and whanau and so, on Saturday 3rd July, eight students and two staff braved the cold to run a sausage sizzle at Mitre 10 Mega, Pukekohe.
The students – all of whom have been fortunate enough to go on a voyage – were fantastic ambassadors for the school. Their spirit and positivity – despite their very cold feet - brought warmth to the customers.
Thank you to all the students for their time and their energy and to all those who supported us by buying a sausage or by donating. We took $657.90 on the day, a great effort!
